Khemmis Cancel June West Coast Tour

Modern doom metal standouts Khemmis have announced the cancellation of their June headlining shows, which were planned to run from June 02nd to 12th. Those dates had originally been booked for January of this year, but were postponed amid COVID-19 concerns. Despite the headlining shows being shelved, the band will still be out on the road this spring opening for Opeth and Mastodon‘s co-headlining U.S. tour.

Addressing the cancellation of their aforementioned West Coast headlining run, Khemmis offered:

“As you have likely surmised, we must cancel our West Coast headlining tourdates this summer. The Opeth/Mastodon trek this spring is an incredible opportunity for us, and we are thrilled to join these two legendary bands on the road. Given the proximity of those dates with the rescheduled headlining ones and the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between time with our families and time on the road, these headlining shows just aren’t feasible this summer.

Thank y’all for understanding, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at all of our upcoming dates with the mighty Opeth and Mastodon.”
